Usage is metered in tokens — a technical unit of text (roughly ¾ of a word) covering both what you write and what Delia writes back. The description next to each cap is what it means in practice; the number itself is the real, exact limit — never rounded up to sound better.
How the free trial works
Every new subscription starts on a 30-day free trial of Reflect — the full experience, voice included, so you can actually tell what fits before paying for it. Near the end of the trial, Delia tells you plainly which tier looks right for how you've actually used her, based on real usage, not a guess. If nothing changes, it converts to Reflect automatically; you can move up or down in settings any time, before or after.
What happens if you hit your monthly cap
You are never locked out of the app. Every entry you've written, everything Delia remembers, your whole history — always readable, always searchable. The only thing that pauses is starting a brand-new conversation, until the next month starts or you choose to move up a tier. Nothing is deleted, and nothing is held hostage.
